    Univar Solutions is a distributor of chemicals and lubricants with long-standing relationships with major suppliers. We offer a wide range of products and services to customers across many different industries.

    Over the last few years Univar Solutions has evolved its EMEA organisation into two focused divisions:

    ·   Chemical Distribution & Services (CD&S) focuses on lubricants and foundational chemistries, delivering operational excellence and broad-based solutions

     

    This divisional structure reflects the different market dynamics, customer needs and value propositions of these businesses, helping us to sharpen focus and provide specialized expertise to serve our customers and key markets.

    The next step of our evolution is to align our structure in parts of Europe to support the future needs of our business and continue working effectively with customers, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders.

    What is changing? 


    With effect from 1st November 2026, we will change our legal entity structure by creating specific legal entities for each Nordic country in which we do business. This means that your transactions will move from Univar Solutions B.V. to the relevant local Nordic legal entity.

     

    Currently, your products are supplied from our Univar Solutions B.V. legal entity as part of the Chemical Distribution & Services (CD&S) segment. Going forward, your products will be supplied through the relevant country-specific legal entity in the Nordics, as shown below.

    As a result, you will need to make the following changes before 1st November 2026 to ensure continuity of service:

     

    • Set up a new Univar Solutions vendor/supplier record for each country you buy products from.
    • Use the new VAT number and entity details for your future transactions.
    • Ensure your purchasing team understands which account to use.
    • Ensure your finance team understands that there will be new bank accounts to pay into.

    What is not changing? 


    Your existing relationship with Univar Solutions will continue. There will be no change to the service you receive, or to our product, sourcing, quality or regulatory standards.

     

    Our aim is to make the transition as seamless as possible so that these changes can be managed without unnecessary disruption to day-to-day business.

    We operate in multiple countries – does this apply everywhere?

    ThiscommunicationrelatestochangesintheNordics.Therewillbesimilarchangeshappeningin the UK, France and Belgium that take effect from the 1stof February 2027. If you also buy from these countries, separate communications will follow regarding changes in those regions.

    I am both a Univar Solutions customer and a supplier; how do these changes affect me?

    IfyoubothbuyfromandsupplyUnivarSolutions,wewillprovidetherelevantguidanceforeach relationship separately, so you know what action, if any, is needed.

    Account Management

    When do we need to set up the new account?

    Before 1st November 2026, to avoid any disruption to your orders. We will contact our customers with additional information and guidance as we get closer to this date.

    What will I need to set up a new vendor record?

    Youwillneedthecompanyname,address,VATnumber,contactdetailsandbankaccount information. We will share all of this in our next communication.

    What happens if we don’t set up the new account in time?

    Thereisariskthatordersmaynotbeprocessedcorrectlyanddeliveriescouldbe delayed.

    Orders

    What happens to orders placed before 1st November 2026, but it’s delivered after 1st November 2026?

    Before 1st November 2026 orders must be placed with Univar Solutions BV as per current processes.However,ifadeliverytakesplaceafter 1stNovember2026,dependingonthetypeof material, it may be processed under the new entity and VAT number.

    Contracts & Payment Terms

    Are there any changes to my payment terms?

    Thereisnochangeotherthanthecontractualrelationshipwillbetransferredtotheentity operating in the country where you purchase products.

    I have a written sales agreement with Univar Solutions BV, how is it affected?

    Your account manager will liaise with you to address the transfer of the existing written sales agreementtotherelevantentity(es)intheNordicspursuanttothetermsandconditionsofsuch agreement.
