    Polyglycol P-400E - Polyglycol P-400E is used as an antifoam agent in a wide variety of industries, including latex formulations, paper and pulp processing, emulsion paints, and food production. Polyglycol P-400E is considered readily biodegradable.

    Polyglycol P-600 - Polyglycol P-600 is used as an antifoam agent in a wide variety of industries. Polyglycol P-600 provides excellent lubricity and a low pour point with a broad HLB/molecular weight range enabling formulation flexibility.

    Polyglycol P-1000E - Polyglycol P-1000E is used as an antifoam agent in a wide variety of industries thanks to its wide range of hydrophile-lipophile balances and molecular weights and excellent lubricity and solvency. Polyglycol P-1000E complies with EU Ecolabel.

    Polyglycol P-2000E - Polyglycol P-2000E is used as an antifoam agent in a wide variety of industries. It is well formulated for use in detergents, metalworking fluids, gear oils, compressor fluids, and oilfield cementing/drilling. Polyglycol P-2000E is considered readily biodegradable.

    Polyglycol P-3000E - Polyglycol P-3000E is used as an antifoam agent well formulated for use in boiler systems and industrial process treatments that require controlled foam levels.

    Polyglycol P-4000E - Polyglycol P-4000E features a higher MW (4000), lower volatility and partial water solubility in water at 25°C.  Polyglycol P-4000E does not form coke under extreme heating making it strong for applications in drilling, flotation, boiler systems and high temperature processing.

    Applications

    Water Treatment

    Polyglycol P series can be used effectively in wastewater, boiler water and process water treatment. These anti foaming chemicals are known for their low toxicity and easy manipulation. Most of them have extensive FDA clearances for indirect food contact, as boiler water additives, components of paper and paperboard, and/or agents to control foam in paper manufacturing. They can be used as pure products or as formulation ingredients.

    Coatings

    Dow Polyglycol P-400E, P-1000E, P-1200E and P-2000E are linear polymers containing two terminal hydroxyl groups, which can be used to synthesize resin for coatings.

    Construction

    Concrete performance is strongly influenced by air content and its distribution. The appropriate use of the Polyglycol P series as antifoams and defoamers can help in achieving higher strength properties.

    Food Applications

    Polyglycol P series are polypropylene glycol anti foaming agents in food that help to solve foaming challenges causing issues in food processing operations including negative impacts to efficacy, productivity and cost. Most are GMP and (EC) 10/2011 certified for use in food applications.
